INT. WILL AND HANNAH'S LIVING ROOM - MORNING #2#
Hannah walks out into the living room and up to the kitchen where WILL is preparing breakfast. He's unworried, cheerful.
Morning.
Morning.
You're slower to rise than usual.
It's one of those mornings.
No nightmares, I hope.
Hannah smiles weakly.
What's for breakfast?
Same as every morning. What I lack in inspiration, I make up for in consistency.
Oh. Another unplanned meeting, so I'll be back a bit later from work, but in time to cook dinner.
Thanks.
Are you teaching?
Uh, yeah. Just two classes today.
Will notices she's more quiet than usual.
Well, keep them awake and keep yourself awake, huh? You look like you didn't sleep at all.

INT. WILL AND HANNAH'S LIVING ROOM - DAY #4#
Hannah sits at the table, tea untouched. On the wall: Maya’s clock. Tick. Tock. She decides.

INT. WILL AND HANNAH'S KITCHEN - EVENING #7#
It's dinner time. Both Will and Hannah are eating from their plates in a picture of typical domestic tranquility, but the mood is palpable. There's a warmer tone to this version of Will.
Doing okay with that?
You know, Bob and Eric are still fighting at work. They've called in HR again. They're considering splitting them up and placing them in different departments, can you believe that?
Which one?
Oh. Yeah, I suppose both of them, or it would feel really unfair to the other. Man, that sucks.
(beat)
Oh, also, after the meeting I walked home through the park, and I suddenly had this huge flashback.
Yeah? To what?
To the moment we first met. I was just walking there and you bumped into me. You said something about a doctor and how there was no time left. And you called me by my name.
You do? Because you always deny it. You always have. I just figured you were day drinking or something and were too ashamed to tell me.
Um. Yeah. I was. You got me.
Huh, after all this time. Go figure. You also never told me how you knew my name.
I don't think I ever said your name.
I think you did.
(a beat)
But when I met you again a few months later, that's how we picked up our conversation, remember? So I guess I should be thankful.
(raising his glass)
Here's to daytime drinking.
She raises her glass in turn, a thin smile on her lips. Her phone buzzes.
Oh. It's Lily.
Is she alright?
Yeah, she's just going through some stuff.
(fake-apologetic)
This could be urgent. Mind if I take the call?
Not at all.
Hannah walks out of the room as Will continues his dinner.
