The lake lies flat and bright in the sunlight. Will sits on a bench facing the water, still, contemplative. A faint breeze ripples the surface. Hannah approaches along the path, slows when she sees him, then sits beside him. For a moment, neither speaks. Just the soft sound of water against the shore. Then:
