INT. UNIVERSITY LIBRARY - DAY #9#

Rows of shelves. Quiet hum of laptops and whispered voices. Hannah and Naomi sit tucked into a corner table, books and highlighters spread between them.

HANNAH

(whispering)

That's the same page.

NAOMI

What?

HANNAH

You've been looking at that page for minutes.

NAOMI

I'm digesting it.

HANNAH

Okay.

NAOMI

I'm not that good at studying when you're around.

HANNAH

I'll be quiet.

NAOMI

Okay.

HANNAH

You ever think of the future?

NAOMI

What?

HANNAH

You ever think to yourself: "Am I gonna look back on this stuff in the future and think: 'thank God they taught me this?'"

NAOMI

I thought you were gonna be quiet.

HANNAH

I'm just reflecting.

NAOMI

Out loud.

HANNAH

Yeah.

Naomi’s phone buzzes on the table. She flips it face-down without looking.

NAOMI

I think I'm done.

HANNAH

Finally. Let's get out of here.
