INT. STUDENT DORM - MORNING #6#
A cramped dorm. Window jammed open with a textbook. Fairy lights glow over a desk littered with mugs and highlighters. A timetable is taped to the wall. On the narrow bed, a younger Hannah lies tangled with another young woman, NAOMI. Hannah opens her eyes, Naomi is looking at her.
Good morning.
Morning. How long have you been looking at me like that?
No comment. How'd you sleep?
I had the craziest dreams. I was in a field doing... something? And then I was in a cafe, then a doctor's office...
That's the booze doing its work.
Yeah. Crazy night.
Yeah. That escalated.
She starts to laugh.
What?
Isn't that romantic?
Naomi leans in.
First time with a girl?
Hannah nods, a bit shy.
How does it feel?
Feels nice.
Was it the booze?
Maybe a bit of both.
Oh, you know how to make a girl feel special.
I don't know. I could be persuaded to come back for more.
Any particular kind of persuasion you're thinking of?
Eleven fifteen.
Hannah stands up and quickly puts on her jeans. From the bed, Naomi sits up against the headboard.
Busy Saturday?
I promised grandma I'd have lunch.
You're not bullshitting me, right?
Why would I bullshit you?
Drunken mistake, experimenting and regretting it...
Did I make a mistake?
No.
I don't think so either. What are you doing on Monday?
I was going to see a concert.
Is it death metal?
No.
Are you looking for someone to join?
Yes.
Then it's a date.
I like this side of you.
Which side?
Taking charge.
Hannah leans over the bed, gives her a kiss.
I know.
She stands up and walks to the exit. As she's putting on her jacket:
Leftovers in the fridge, don't drink the milk, take as much time as you need.
You're awesome.
